Crinoid Image Database

The purpose of this dynamic database is to serve as a clearing house for images and associated data on crinoid skeletal morphology. Crinoids skeletons, like those of other echinoderms, are made up of numerous elements of high Mg calcite. The morphology of these elements is functionally and taxonomically important. Our goal is to make this database as comprehensive as possible and this can only be done with contributions from the community of scientists studying crinoids who have access to SEMs and relevant data. Thanks to all those who have contributed!
